Ireland will NOT host the Rugby World Cup in 2023.
A vote of the World Rugby Council has recommended France to stage the tournament.
Although Ireland were not expected to win the bid, the selection of France has come as a surprise.
It's after an independent report for World Rugby had recommended South Africa, with Ireland finishing last.
