Ireland to benefit from Facebook roles
10,000 new jobs are being created by Facebook across the European Union.
The roles will be in 'high-skilled' positions, with Ireland set to benefit from a large number of jobs.
It wants to create what's known as a 'metaverse', which it describes as a new way of working, gaming and communicating online.
The social media giant's European headquarters are in Dublin.
“Facebook is at the start of a journey to help build the next computing platform," says Head of Facebook Ireland Gareth Lambe.
"Today’s announcement is a commitment to grow in Ireland and across Europe and in our long-term investment in European talent to help build the metaverse.”
