The Tánaiste says there won't be time limits on tables for outdoor dining and drinking once it returns in June.
Also, the €9 substantial meal has also been scrapped as has the limit on the number of people on a premises.
Restaurants and pubs are still waiting on the formal advice from Fáilte Ireland.
Leo Varadkar says there won't be a time limit on how long you can stay at a table when outdoor dining/pints begin again on June 7th.
-Six to a table
- Tables 1-1.5m apart

- The cap of 15 people on the premises also scrapped— Seán Defoe (@SeanDefoe) May 19, 2021
No Substantial Meal Rule, No Rule Of 15
But Business Minister and Tánaiste Leo Varadkar explains how it will work:
"To give you a rough idea, it's going to be seated only, a metre or a metre and a half between tables."
"No more than 6 at a table but they can come from any number of households."
"There'll be no rule of 15, if you have the space then you have the space."
"Also there won't be a requirement to buy a substantial meal, that'll be gone."
"We also don't anticipate that there'll be a time limit on how long you can stay."
