200 new construction jobs will be created as part of a €400 million development in Limerick.
The University of Pittsburgh Medical Centre has proposed building a 150 bed hospital on the edge of Moyross.
The facility will also house 40 day beds along with a medical research and training centre.

On the same site, 108 one-four bed houses will be built, which will be used as social housing units and affordable housing.
In Thomondgate, 63 houses will be built.
Meanwhile an additional 36 one and two bed homes will be constructed in Hyde Road Park.
The announcement comes just 24 hours after Minister Eamon Ryan confirmed that the Coonagh to Knockalisheen Road will be built in its entirety.
Council Describes Development As "Truly Remarkable"
Mayor of Limerick, Michael Collins has described the development proposal as "truly remarkable".

It is anticipated that the sites will be developed over next three to five years with the planning process set to commence in quarter 2 of 2021.
