From next Thursday it'll be a criminal offence for people arriving into Ireland not to fill in a locator form.
The information will spell out where they're going to self isolate.
Penalties for not filling out this form will be a maximum 6 month jail term or a fine of €2,500.
Ministers agreed on the decision today and there will be spot checks carried out.
From next week anyone coming into the country from abroad will have to fill in a locator form to say where they will be self isolating
