A pirate TV operation has been dismantled in Co Cork
It could have cost the the country's two largest providers €20 million.
Firstly up to 40 gardaí and detectives searched seven buildings across the city earlier today.
Documents and equipment were also seized as part of the operation.
The searches were carried out by Gardaí from the Cork City division.
They were supported by local detectives, local Computer Crime Investigation Unit, and also representatives from Virgin Media, Sky TV and Nagra.
Gardaí say up to 20,000 people nationwide are using the illegal set top boxes.
