Dublin City Council has announced a proposal to pedestrianise Capel Street.
The council says the aim is to allow hospitality businesses on the street to re-open with outdoor dining.
The plan is now open for public consultation.
So if it's approved it will provide for 1300 metres squared of additional public space.
It includes making the area of Capel Street between Ryders Row and Parnell Street traffic-free on a 24/7 basis.
While also removing all on-street parking between Ormond Quay and Mary Street.
Absolutely no change proposed for the section you're standing on in that pic. Will still be a full three lanes of traffic outside Pantibar. Complete and total disappointment.

The public consultation is open until May 14th, and the council says if there is support for it, work will begin later this month.
