36 more deaths
A further 36 people have died from Covid-19 in the Republic, the largest number of fatalities in a single day.
It brings the death toll here to 210.
345 new cases have also been confirmed - the total number of cases of the coronavirus now stands at 5,709.
Statement from the National Public Health Emergency Team
The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has today been informed that 36 people diagnosed with COVID-19 in Ireland have died.

Figures released today also show a total of 42,484 coronavirus tests have been carried out here to date.
786 patients have died in the UK after contracting the coronavirus - including three in Northern Ireland.
It brings to 73 the number of people who lost their lives to the virus in Northern Ireland - while the total number of deaths on the island of Ireland 283.
Britain's total number of virus-related deaths to 6,159.
It comes as British Prime Minister Boris Johnson also remains in intensive care from the coronavirus.
