The Dept. of Health has confirmed 1,414 new cases of Covid-19 in Ireland
As of this morning, 353 Covid-19 patients were hospitalised - an increase of 10 on Thursday morning’s total.
Also this morning, there were 55 patients with Covid-19 receiving treatment in intensive care - a decrease of 4 on yesterday’s figure.
Meanwhile, a new report says four cases of the Mu variant of Covid-19 have been identified in Ireland.
The World Health Organisation says the strain is a 'variant of interest' - but not a 'variant of concern'.

Health Minister Stephen Donnelly says nearly 6.9 million have been given out so far.
82% of the population over the age of 12 are fully vaccinated.
The rate is 89% for over-18s.
