Nightlife Culture
Positive changes to nightlife culture are being examined.
Nightclubs could have staggered finishing times to stop the rush on taxis in the early hours of the morning.
The Culture Minister Josepha Madigan says licencing times as well as the introduction of Night Mayors are under examination.
The Night Mayors would be appointed to watch over night life in towns and cities across the country.
The mayors would also be responsible for making sure there is more on offer at night than just going to the pub.
It is part of a nationwide plan to enhance night time culture in Ireland.
Speaking alongside four #LE19 candidates this afternoon in @FineGael HQ to discuss how we can improve #NightTimeCulture nationwide.

There has been a focus on finding a way to create better nightlife in Ireland by a number of groups.
One of them is Give Us The Night who are campaigning for licensing laws to be reformed.
Last month, members of the government met with representatives from the Give us the Night campaign, The National Concert Hall, Copper Face Jacks, Dublin Town and DJ Jenny Greene.
Submissions from members of Ireland’s creative communities including Irish DJs and electronic artists based abroad have also been made to the Minister’s department.
