Claims woman has been denied an abortion.
The National Women's Council says allegations a pregnant woman has been denied an abortion at the Coombe Hospital in Dublin are really concerning.
TDs Ruth Coppinger and Brid Smith claim the woman had been told by two consultants the foetus has a fatal foetal abnormality - but has been refused an abortion by the board of the hospital.
The board of the Coombe Hospital in Dublin has 'no role whatsoever' in approving an abortion - according to a statement from the hospital.
The National Women's Council (NWCI) said the full details of the case need to be made clear.
Director Orla O'Connor said: "This case has the potential for widespread anxiety for women in Ireland."
“The Department of Health must intervene, so that the woman can access the medical services provided in law"
"The Master of the Coombe Hospital must provide immediate clarity on the position of the Hospital."
