Gao Chengyong, 54, who's been compared to the notorious Victorian-era serial killer, Jack the Ripper, was sentenced to death for the murders of 11 women.
The murders were carried out in Gansu and the neighbouring region of Inner Mongolia from 1988 to 2002.
Police had been hunting Gao for years.
