Centra Calls On Public To ‘Care For Your Pair’ In Support Of The Irish Cancer Society
To mark Breast Cancer Awareness month this coming October, leading Irish convenience retailer Centra and the Irish Cancer Society are encouraging the women and men of Ireland to ‘Care For Your Pair’.
The ‘Care for Your Pair’ movement encourages people to start a conversation about breast health with two of their loved ones this October.
Centra has been a proud supporter of the Irish Cancer Society for 12 years and this year, from October in participating Centra stores nationwide, customers can choose to add €1 to their bill at the till to donate to this worthy cause.
100% of donations will go directly to supporting breast cancer patients by providing crucial services such as the Irish Cancer Society Freephone Support Line, the Volunteer Driver Service, the Night Nursing Service and the free Counselling Service.
More than 3,600 women and around 40 men are diagnosed with breast cancer each year in Ireland and the new campaign aims to shine a light on the importance of early detection by knowing the signs and symptoms of breast cancer and encouraging people to be breast aware.
Those who can’t make it into a Centra store this weekend can donate to this worthy cause by visiting here.
