CAO offers
Dublin City University has seen a “significant uplift in demand” for many of its STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) degrees.
The news comes as thousands of students across the county received round one CAO offers this afternoon.

NUI Galway also recorded a rise in applications for STEM subjects.
Points rose for Civil Engineering, Electronic and Computer Engineering, Biopharmaceutical Chemistry and Energy Systems Engineering.
Elsewhere there was a big increase in applications for all of NUIG's law programmes.

Meanwhile, Maynooth University said it expects to take in its highest ever number of students this year.
Students have until Friday 23rd August to accept their round one offers.
