A bill that would force all work places to close during red weather warnings will be brought before the Dail tomorrow.
The issue has been in the spotlight in the last 6 months, following Storms Ophelia and Emma.
Sinn Fein are bringing forward the bill, which would ensure workers aren't penalised for staying at home during extreme weather.
It would also bring penalties for those who put people's lives at risk during red warnings, and would also propose allowing the Gardai to have the power to penalise reckless behaviour.
