Britney Spears will tell a court in Los Angeles that she's "sick of being taken advantage of".
The pop star has requested to address the court handling her conservatorship.
Her father, Jamie Spears, is in control of the singer’s finances and career.
But now she's trying to challenge that.
Senior Online Reporter with the Daily Mail Harriet Alexander says Britney is looking for more independence:
She has described it as, "an oppressive and controlling tool against her."
Harriet says Britney's also admitted she's "sick of being taken advantage of," and that's all outlined in court documents.
Additionally, Britney claims her father controlled who she dated, and even small details like the colour of the kitchen cabinets when she wanted to renovate her house.
Free Britney Group Says Conservatorships A 'Threat'
Leanne Simmons is part of the 'Free Britney' movement.
So the group's arguing she's capable of looking after herself.
Leanne says this is now a wider issue.
"Our first and main focus is to get Britney free from these restraints."
"But also to raise awareness about the threat of probate conservatorships."
"They take over a person's life and money."
"It could happen to any of us."
