Boy has died in collision
A 7 year-old boy has died after being knocked down by a truck in Dublin.
It happened in Ballymun yesterday and Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.
The young boy was on St. Joseph's Way when he was hit by a truck shortly after 4:30pm yesterday afternoon.
The 7 year-old was rushed to Temple Street Children's Hospital in a serious condition, but passed away yesterday evening.
The 30 year-old man driving the truck was also brought to The Mater Hospital where he's being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The Health and Safety Authority has been notified and garda collision investigators attended the scene.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone who saw the collision to contact them at Ballymun Garda Station or the The Garda Confidential Line.
