Boohoo changes its mind over the wool decision.
Boohoo has made a U-turn over its decision to stop selling wool products, following a backlash by farmers.
The online fashion retailer says it will instead work to ensure any items it does stock meet "high levels of animal welfare".
It's after a campaign by animal rights group Peta, which released a video reportedly showing shearers in the UK mistreating sheep.
Farmers say any abusive behaviour should not be tolerated, but that such instances are incredibly rare.
There has been mixed reaction to the decision online.
Wool is cruel and unnecessary. Boohoo are moving into the future. #TheFutureIsVegan

I think @boohoo might regret banning Wool as a textile. https://t.co/c0tTI19Qia show your support for a natural product we’ve used for thousands of years . pic.twitter.com/qlDwFhKX7Q

Wool rocks.
It's ethical, necessary and sustainable.
If the sheep aren't clipped they can overheat and fall victim to maggots - lovely eh?!
The wool grows back to keep them warm and dry in winter.
