Thousands of US visas could soon be available to Irish citizens looking to live and work in America.
A new bill was passed by the US House of Representatives on Wednesday.
The 'E3 Bill' is similar to a one already open to Australians which allows 10,500 people to work legally in the States each year.
The visas proposed by the E3 Bill will be renewable every two years meaning people can work in America for as long as they are employed.
If passed into law, the bill will see visas made easier and less expensive to obtain than current US visas.
The bill will now go before the US Senate before a final decision is made.
