Avicii's family have released a new statement saying the DJ "could not go on any longer".
They describe Tim Bergling as "a seeker, a fragile artistic soul searching for answers to existential questions".
The DJ was found dead in Oman last week at the age of 28.
Details about his death haven't been confirmed.
