Arlene Foster says she's stepping down as DUP leader and Northern Ireland’s First Minister.
It follows calls from within her party for a leadership contest.
I have spoken with Arlene Foster today and she informed me of her decision to step down. I have wished Arlene and her family well in the time ahead.

She'll step away from heading the DUP on the 28th May - but will remain first minister until the end of June.

In a statement, Mrs Foster's described serving the people of Northern Ireland as 'the privilege of my life.'
Yesterday, a letter of no confidence in her leadership was signed by 22 of the parties 27 MLAs and 4 MPs.
A Number Of Candidates Emerge To Replace Foster
Edwin Poots had been one of the names tipped to replace Arlene Foster.
Also said to be in the running are MPs Sammy Wilson and Jeffrey Donaldson.
As the largest party in the Assembly, they would have 7 days to nominate a replacement.
If they don't, then Stormont would be dissolved.
