Those Without Power May Be Left Waiting
In Cork where the weather was most severe, some outages such as in Cloyne in the South east may not be resolved until closer to 6pm this evening.
The ESB's Derek Hynes says crews are working to get power restored as soon as possible:
"We've had teams out working across all of the affected areas overnight."
"We ave all the rest of our crews available to be dispatched for it from 7am this morning."
"Conditions in most of the country have improved, it's still pretty windy."
"We're expecting yellow wind conditions across the country for today."
Well done to those @Ryanair pilots on the Stansted/Cork flight. After holding for ages they finally landed . #StormEllen pic.twitter.com/uZtZmPXK5G
