Aldi has announced plans to recruit an extra 500 staff this year.
The new positions are for area managers, store managers, assistant store managers and store assistants.
The supermarket is also set to become the first in Ireland to introduce a living wage of €11.90 for staff.
The supermarket chain says it plans to open seven new stores here this year.
