Tipperary and Western Bulldogs Star Aisling McCarthy
Aisling who was the 2017 Intermediate Player of the Year for her county, joined the Western Bulldogs, having travelled to Australia as part of the Cross Coders programme which took place in Melbourne.

Back in March 2016, McCarthy captained her club Cahir to win the All-Ireland intermediate club camogie title in Croke Park which will be always a stand out memory for the star.
Aisling announced she was set to make her Australian Football League Women's debut two weekend's ago for the Western Bulldogs in their Round 2 clash with the Geelong Cats which they won.

"McCarthy has impressed on the training track with her power, speed and ball-handling ability, and travelled with the squad for the game in Adelaide last weekend,"
Then the news broke and she was getting her first start!!

She was happy to share the good news on her Instagram
Not only did Aisling start but she scored her first goal in the third quarter of her side's 5.4 (34) to 2.4 (16) victory over the Geelong Cats, their second win on the bounce since the start of the new season.
