The polls are open for the 8th Amendment referendum.
People will be voting on whether or not they want to remove the 8th Amendment of the Constitution.
Here's a short list of do's and don'ts of the polling station for when you go to cast your vote.
DO: Bring your polling card and valid ID. Drivers licence, passport, etc.
DON'T: Wear anything that contains campaign slogans. This includes but is not limited badges, jumpers and t-shirts. If you have anything with a campaign slogan anywhere, you will not be allowed to vote.
Before we move on, let's look at the ballot paper:
DO: Mark an X beside either YES or NO.
DON'T: Draw or write anything else on any area of the paper. Just an X beside your preference.
DO: Fold your paper and place into the ballot box once you have made your preference.
DON'T: At any stage, do not take selfies or videos when you're casting your vote. It's a secret ballot and everyone's right to that secrecy.
DO: Go out, vote and have your say
