Foreign Holidays Back On The Cards From July
Meanwhile foreign holidays could return by the end of July under plans being considered this week.
It's very likely that there will be holidays for people this summer, according to the Foreign Affairs Minister.
Simon Coveney says the green cert travel system will be in place by July 1st.
Also, he doesn't believe it will take the full six weeks to implement here.
The move will likely see the end of mandatory hotel quarantine for most EU countries.
However it will be kept for other areas of concern.
Taoiseach Micheál Martin says the government will lay out plans this week for re-opening a number of sectors:
"Hospitality, live entertainment and the arts."
"Those are the areas that we're looking at in terms of June and July."
"Can we trial some events in June?"
"What does July look like now, in terms of the vaccination programme which has gone very well."
"Along with the progress in keeping the disease levels down."
