We're down to 39 #COVID19 inpatients in hospital, 13 in ICU. 22 hospitals have either 1 or no case. Hospitals are under significant challenge however due to increased Emergency Department attendances & ongoing impacts of the cyber attack. We appreciate your support. @HSELive

Govt Calls For People To Get The Second Dose
Meanwhile, the Government's urging everyone to take their second Covid vaccine.
It follows concerns about the Delta variant.
The Chief Medical Officer says it accounts for one in five new cases here.
The Government says it's next stage of re-opening is still on track despite the concerns.
Health Minister Stephen Donnelly says they’re keeping a close eye on it.
"The emerging information on it is very sobering."
"We're getting more and more information, particularly from the UK."
"It seems that the vaccines are less effective after one dose, that the two doses really is what's required for the high effectiveness."
"The level of severity, it looks like, is higher as well as the level of contagion."
"This is a very serious variant."
