Sinead O'Reilly, the Arts Council's Project Lead for Culture Night, says tonight is in preparation for a full return of the arts in October:
"We're not quite in full swing yet, but we're really getting there [...] this is about building towards that, and building on the publics confidence to return to arts & culture institutions."
Niamh Smyth, Fianna Fáil's spokesperson on Arts and Heritage, says this Culture Night will be a special one:
"We're after coming through a global pandemic, we have missed out so much on arts and culture, but this will be one that will be one to remember and never forget, especially for artists who are performing."
Exhibitions, performances, music and late night openings are all part of tonight's events - a full list can be found on the Culture Night website.
