Gardaí have arrested twelve people following a significant operation in Limerick.
They've also seized high end cars, a number of horses and a large sum of cash.
Searches At 65 Limerick Properties
This morning, searches took place at 65 properties, on the outskirts of Limerick city.
Homes, businesses and land was tageted as part of ‘Operation Coronation.'
Over 300 Gardai, Defence Forces members and Revenue officials were involved.
The searches led to the seizure of a BMW, a VW Tiguan and a Range Rover.
8 horses, €62,5000 in cash, cannabis and 5 designer watches were also recovered.
6 bank accounts with savings of €295,000 have now been frozen.
7 men and 5 women were arrested.
Eight of those arrested are suspected of money laundering offences.
One man was detained in connection with the possession of an offensive weapon.
Gardai say a number of these people will appear before Limerick District Court today
The operation is still ongoing.
