Daft Punk split up
Daft Punk have split up after 28 years together.
The dance duo announced the news in an 8 minute YouTube video titled, Epilogue.
In the video, the pair walk through a desert in their iconic space-age helmets and leather jackets.
One of the members turns around to allow the other member access to a control panel on his back.
He presses a button and starts a one minute countdown timer.
After one whole minute, the guy with the timer on his back explodes, as his pal looks on.
The video fades to black and the timeline 1993 - 2021 is written across the screen.
Their 2013 song Touch can be heard playing in the background.
And that's it. They didn't even throw in a nice video description.
Pitchfork reached out to their longtime publicist Kathryn Frazier, and she confirmed the news.
However, no reason has been given for the split.
Daft Punk will be sorely missed in the music industry.
