The first movie came out in 2006 and it shot Zac and the rest of the cast to global fame.
The second film dropped the following year, and the third and final movie premiered in cinemas in 2008.
According to IMDB the third movie was made with an estimated budget of $11m, and it took in over $252m in the worldwide box office.
The musical follows the high school romance between Troy Bolton (Efron) and Gabriella Montez (Vanessa Hudgens).
She's the new girl at East High, and he's the most popular kid at school - the captain of The Wildcats basketball team.
While madly in love, the pair face every struggle that comes with growing up in high school.
Disney+ have since launched a High School Musical series starring Olivia Rodrigo and Joshua Bassett.
And while the series is very good, all we've ever wanted is a reboot with the original cast.
Fingers crossed!
