Zara McDermott & Sam Thompson
The breakdown of Zara McDermott and Sam Thompson's relationship aired on Made in Chelsea this week.
He ended things after finding out she cheated on him a year ago.
It happened while she was a contestant on the celebrity version of The X Factor.
On this week's episode, Zara told Jamie Laing and his girlfriend Sophie Habboo what happened.
She defended, "When it happened, I genuinely thought that me and Sam were going to break up inevitably."
"I just thought we were hanging on by a tiny thread and we're going to break up."
"Then he turned around and said he wanted to make it work with me," Zara added.
Jamie is one of Sam's best friends, so he was extremely uncomfortable in the situation.
As a result, he left the girls to chat alone, among themselves.
Zara and Sam talk it out
Later on, Sam and Zara met up at a park bench to discuss the situation.
She told him, "I want to work through this with you."
But unfortunately for her, he could see no way of getting past this betrayal.

She told him that she had been trying to find the right way to tell him but she just, "couldn't do it."
"And it's not because I didn't have respect for you..."
Sam stopped her there, "Zara..." he said.

"Zara look, I'm the first person to hold my hand up and say I've done some fu**ed up sh*t, but I've never done anything like that."
"The seediness of consistently sha**ing when you're calling me to tell me you can't come home, when the rest of your band are at home in bed with their other halves," he continued.
"So they all leave the studio to enjoy that and make that last."
Zara agreed when he told her, "That is not the person I know."
She broke down crying, "I hate myself so much."
But Sam told her he couldn't be with her because he couldn't possibly trust her after this.

Sam accused her of continuing to like photos of the man she cheated on him with after it happened.
He asked, "How can you work through something when you didn't even f**king feel the guilt until you got caught?"
"There's guilt now because you've been caught."
Zara shared a video montage of memories with Sam on Instagram after they broke up.
His sister Louise has since responded to the post.
