SPIN chats to Tim Gunn
SPIN's Sarina Bellissimo recently caught up with Tim Gunn to chat about season two of Making The Cut.
He talked about how fabulous the new installment is, how he felt meeting Heidi Klum and what impact the show has had on his life.
Sarina asked Tim how it felt returning for season two.
"Well, I was ecstatic just to have a season two," he admitted.
"Having Winnie Harlow and Jeremy Scott as our new judges was so thrilling and invigorating."

"I mean you don't know how people are actually going to be on camera."
"But they were so thoughtful and considerate in how they spoke to the designers and interacted and how deeply they really cared."
They don't travel anywhere in season two, whereas they did a lot of travelling in season one, and Tim touched on this.

He revealed they filmed on a ranch in Malibu for all eight episodes, and it worked out surprisingly well.
Tim said, "Can you believe we didn't travel? It's hard to imagine."
"We're just 100 yards from where we were to the last fashion show yet it feels completely and totally different. It was thrilling."

Sarina also asked Tim about his incredibly close friendship with Heidi Klum.
He said they met 17 years ago, on set of another show, and at the time he was just a consultant with no plans to appear on camera.

"The morning that the designers were arriving, I met Heidi for the first time."
"Sarina, I have to tell you. I was shaking so violently that I almost fell to my knees."

"This supermodel who is more breathtaking in person than she even is on camera."
"She's also just the biggest sweetheart, she knew how nervous I was, she took my hand, she wrapped an arm around me."
"And she said, 'This is all going to be great, don't worry about a thing, I have your back.' And she has ever since."
Making The Cut season two is out now, exclusively on Prime Video.
