Disney's cute new 'Lady and the Tramp' star has gone from a kill shelter to Hollywood! Little Monte was reportedly on the verge of being euthanized before being scooped up by HALO Animal Rescue, in Phoenix, Arizona. The adorable two-year-old terrier mix is now enjoying a true happy ending after being hand picked for the upcoming live action remake of the much loved classic. According to TMZ, Mark Forbes, the animal trainer for "Lady and the Tramp, was on the hunt for a scruffy canine and Monte perfectly fit the bill. Forbes adopted Monte, who had spend just seven days at HALO, and then trained him up for an audition which he clearly aced. Disney execs fell in love with the pooch and the rest, as they say, is history. Monte will make his film debut on the new Disney+ streaming service this November, and HALO is sharing his story in the hope it will lead to more adoptions for dogs in shelters across the globe.
