Raya and The Last Dragon
Walt Disney Animation Studios have released the trailer for their brand new movie Raya and the Last Dragon.
The movie drops in cinemas where available and on Disney+ with Premier Access from March 5th.
Raya and the Last Dragon takes us on an exciting, epic journey to the fantasy world of Kumandra.
It's a place where humans and dragons lived together long ago in harmony.
But when an evil force threatened the land, the dragons sacrificed themselves to save humanity.
Now, 500 years later, that same evil has returned.
It’s now up to a lone warrior, Raya, to track down the legendary last dragon to restore the fractured land and its divided people.
However, along her journey, she’ll learn that it’ll take more than a dragon to save the world.
It’s going to take trust and teamwork as well.
The trailer opens with Raya telling her team, "Alright guys, remember what we're looking for."
She warns them, "And don't trust anyone."
Suddenly, she spots a baby on her own in an alleyway.
She picks her up and asks, "Where are your parents?"
The toddler unexpectedly attacks Raya and knocks her to the ground.
It turns out the baby isn't alone, she runs off with Raya's belongings.
The lone warrior yells, "Really? A con baby?"
She sees potential in the toddler and tells her, "We could use someone like you."
"Let's catch you up, my name is Raya," she reveals.
"Our lands have been at war for as long as we can remember. Our people never see eye to eye."
Raya's father is shown telling her, "I believe our people can come together again but someone has to take the first step."
She continues, "Now in order to restore peace, we must find the last dragon."
Raya gathers herself a team and warns them, "We'll have to watch our backs. We're not the only ones looking."
When she finds the dragon, it tells her, "I'm not the best dragon."
"Have you ever done a group project and there's always that one kid who didn't pitch in as much but still ends up with the same grade?"
Raya is heard admitting, "We're doomed."
