Stranger Things 4
Production on Stranger Things season four has officially begun.
To celebrate this, Netflix have released a first look at the upcoming instalment.
The clip teases the return of Dr. Martin Brenner.
He's the man who raised, trained and performed experiments on children with special abilities, including Eleven.
The teaser opens with a clocking striking 3pm at the Hawkins National Laboratory.
Inside, a group of children, dressed identically, are play with different toys.
Brenner walks into the room and says, "Good morning children."
The kids greet him back, "Good morning Papa."
He asks, "How are you today?" They respond, "Good Papa."
Meanwhile, the camera pans down a hallway outside the room.
The man continues, "Good. I'm glad to hear, because today, I have something very special planned for you."
A sound of heavy breathing gets louder and louder as the camera approaches a door with the number 11 on it.
Dr. Brenner is heard asking, “Eleven? Are you listening?"
The teaser concludes with Eleven suddenly opening her eyes.
The first season 4 teaser
Dr. Brenner isn't the only character whose return is being teased for season four.
In February last year, the very first teaser for season four announced the return of Hopper.
He's imprisoned far from home in the snowy wasteland of Kamchatka.
The synopsis provided by Netflix revealed Hopper's in danger, 'It's not all good news for our, "American."'
Hopper faces, 'dangers both human... And other,' in Kamchatka.
Meanwhile, back home, 'A new horror is beginning to surface, something long buried, something that connects everything...'
Season 4
Netflix announced that the series had been renewed for a fourth season in 2019.
They also revealed they signed a multi-year film and series deal with show creators The Duffer Brothers.
This means the boys will, 'bring their vivid imaginations to other [Netflix] film and series projects...'
The renewal news came with a teaser video featuring the logo with the number four standing behind it.
The letters land in the middle of the woods as branches tangle around them.
Writing appears on the screen: 'We're not in Hawkins anymore'
The official Stranger Things writers' room Twitter account also announced the title for the first episode.
They shared a picture of the script captioned, 'looking for new members... are you in?'
Episode one is named, Chapter One: The Hellfire Club.
It wasn't long after this that production was put on hold amid the pandemic.
Now that everything's back up and running, it shouldn't be long before the show returns to our screens.
