The film that has landed Daniel Day Lewis a nomination for Best Leading Actor at the Oscars this year is being released this weekend.
Phantom Thread is set in 1950's London and follows the story of dressmaker Reynolds Woodcock (Day Lewis) and his sister Cyril (Lesley Manville).
Reynolds comes across a young, strong-willed woman, Alma who soon becomes his muse and his love interest.
Also nominated for an Oscar is Roman J. Israel Esq. Denzel Washington is up against Daniel Day Lewis for Best Leading Actor.
It's set in the underbelly of the overburdened Los Angeles criminal court system. Washington stars as Roman Israel, a driven, idealistic defense attorney who, through a tumultuous series of events, finds himself in a crisis that leads to extreme action.
Also out this weekend is Den of Thieves. While planning a bank heist, a thief gets trapped between two sets of criminals. It stars Gerard Butler.
