West Side Story
A teaser trailer for Steven Spielberg's upcoming West Side Story has been released.
The first look starring Ansel Elgort and Rachel Zegler as Tony and Maria aired during last night's Oscars.
In the opening scenes, two groups face off against each other, holding chains as weapons.
Elgort and Ziegler make their debut next at a school dance, catching eyes on the dance floor.
Leonard Bernstein's Somewhere (There's a Place For Us) plays in the background of the trailer.
If you've seen the original film, then you'll know West Side Story follows the rivalry between two New York City street gangs.
The situation becomes complicated when Tony falls in love with a rival's sister, Maria.

Following the trailer's release, she wrote on Instagram, 'my heart doesn’t have the words just yet.'
