Aston Productions' short film Deirdre will be screened at the Short Film Corner of Festival de Cannes this year.
Based on the Deirdre of the Sorrows folklore, the short presents a darker take on the tale of Romeo and Juliet. Written and directed by Jo Southwell, it stars Red Rock actress India Mullen and Fair City's Sean Doyle.
