Great news for all you X factor fans as Simon Cowell has confirmed the show has been renewed until 2022, despite this series reaching a record low in ratings.
Speaking to The Sun Simon said that ITV have offered him a three or five year deal, thanks to ratings boost in the 18 to 34 demographic.
This comes despite Saturday's show earning just 4.78 million, which is one of the lowest ever viewership in the show's 14-year history.
Speaking about The X Factor's future Simon said:
'We've just been offered an extension on both shows because of the 16 to 34-year-old audience.
'We could probably do three years or five years. It makes a lot of money.
'We're losing people now but fortunately the young audience has actually grown this year and all the advertisers and the sponsors want that income on a Saturday.'
The number of people watching the show has fallen considerably from the shows highest ratings back in 2010 for the final when Matt Cardle won the show!
The grand final back in 2010 was viewed by over 16 Million people but last weekends show was seen by only 4.78 million.
The X Factor continues this Saturday night on Virgin Media one from 8pm.
