Ncuti Gatwa, who plays Eric in Sex Education, has been announced as the next Doctor Who.
He'll take over from Jodie Whittaker when she wraps up her stint later this year.

The 29-year-old is making history by becoming the first black Doctor in the show's 59-year history.
In a press release, he said, 'There aren’t quite the words to describe how I’m feeling.'
'A mix of deeply honoured, beyond excited and of course a little bit scared.'

Ncuti understands the importance of this character, not just to him, but to fans all around the world.
And he recognises how his, 'incredibly talented predecessors has handled that unique responsibility and privilege with the utmost care.'
'I will endeavour my upmost to do the same.'
The actor praised showrunner Russell T. Davies, saying he's, 'almost as iconic as the Doctor himself and being able to work with him is a dream come true.'
