This is exciting.

We know Ryan Gosling is more than just Ken - but it looks like, he might be adding Jedi to the list.

He's in negotiations to star in the next Star Wars project.

We don't know much about it yet, but Deadpool & Wolverine filmmaker Shawn Levy is said to have spent two years developing the feature so far.

It's expected to be a stand-alone film, rather than the first in a series. Filming is due to begin in Autumn this year.

Is Ryan Gosling working on any other projects?

If you're not a Star Wars fan, this may actually be bad news for you. It's anticipated that Ryan Gosling may have to give up a different project with some other A-list actors to make his Star Wars debut happen.

He was in talks to join Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in a new film called Boy Band. It'll tell the story of former boy band members reuniting as middle-aged men.

Chatting about it to The Hollywood Reporter, Ryan Reynolds did confirm that he was on the "second draft" of the script. After Deadpool & Wolverine, he's motivated to work with Shawn Levy and Hugh Jackman again.

He said: "Seeing Shawn every day and Hugh in person or on the screen in the edit bay is one of the best times of my life and a memory palace in my mind that I visit every day.

"I don’t know what the future holds just yet. I really want to make Boy Band, and I’m still trying to figure out the smartest way to put that together."

Explaining his interest in the story, he thinks there's "something beautiful" about people navigating middle-age after being catapulted into the limelight in their teens and 20s.

Ryan Reynolds said: "A lot of members of boy bands — and there are a lot of them — had managers who left them high and dry.

"They experienced levels of fame that would be very difficult for anyone to navigate, let alone an adolescent, when you are farming out your self-worth to an audience of screaming people.

"They’re forever associated with that period of time in their lives. This would be about people in their 40s and 50s trying to get their lives back. I think there is something beautiful about that."
