One of China's largest apps has banned children's' show Peppa Pig from its platform after concerns that the little pink pig is a bad influence on the country's young people.
t's thought that more than 30,000 pieces of content have been taken down. The company behind the censorship, popular video sharing site Douyin, has also banned the hashtag #PeppaPig.
Chinese media reports that the cartoon, which originates from the UK and is in its fifth series, has been added to a banned list of content that also includes men dressing as women, nudity, cult preachings and displays of firearms.
