Meet Troy Baker
In case you missed it, the guy who plays James in the latest episode of The Last Of Us originated the character of Joel Miller.
Troy Baker is the voice actor and motion capture performer for Joel in the video game series.

In the latest episode, we're introduced to preacher David, played by Scott Shepherd.
He wants to help Ellie after he finds her in the woods, hunting for food while Joel recovers from a stab wound.
David is joined by a member of his clan, James, played by Baker.

Baker told Deadline that he was over the moon when show bosses reached out to him for this part.
"I went, "Oh my God. Thank you, guys, so much. Who is James?"" He laughed.
He went on, "But the beauty of this story is that we get to take some characters that may have been overlooked and zoom in and expand their roles."

Baker said he thought they'd ask him to play a clicker, "so, this is an upgrade."
