Normal People star Daisy Edgar-Jones has revealed she had to snog the air during her audition tape.

She made the revelation in response to a fan tweet online.

Author and fan of the show Brittani Taylor tweeted her love for Daisy's character Marianne.

Referring to her character's first kiss with Paul Mescal's Connell, she said, 'OHHHH Marianne is making the first move!'

Before adding, 'P.S. I love her sweater, and should I have bangs again?'

So Daisy replied, 'This scene was my first audition scene and I had to awkwardly snog mid air during my self tape.'

To answer Brittani's question about bangs, Daisy tweeted, 'Bangs are the best but they are a full time job during lockdown'

The author responded, 'I am sure you snogged that air brilliantly!'
