Netflix renews The Haunting of Hill House for a second season
Netflix are renewing The Haunting of Hill House for a second season.
We're not sure whether we should feel terrified or excited.
It'll be called The Haunting of Bly Manor which sounds much creepier - we love it.
According to Business Insider, the season will follow a brand new story line with different characters.
Director of the series Mike Flanagan spoke to Entertainment Weekly about a second season back in October.
'I think that there are all sorts of different directions we could go in, with the house or with something completely different.'
Season one
Season one told the story of the Crain family.
It followed how their childhood home haunted them over decades.
The show did phenomenally well and that's why Flanagan has reportedly signed a multiyear TV deal with Netflix.
The director of the series told Entertainment Weekly last year that he wouldn't continue the Crain family story.
'As far as I've ever been concerned with this, the story of the Crain family is told. It's done.'
'I felt like the Crains have been through enough, and we left them exactly as we all wanted to remember them, those of us who worked on it.'

'We toyed with a cliffhanger ending and we toyed with other ideas...'
'But ultimately... we really felt like the story demanded a certain kind of closure from us and we were happy to close the book on that family.'
