Love Island 2021
Last night, the official Love Island Instagram account announced this year's contestants would be revealed today.
And they've just introduced us to our very first Islanders: Faye, Liberty, Toby, Hugo, Jake, Chloe, Faye, Kaz, Shannon, Brad, Sharon and Aaron.

Sharon
They say Sharon has, 'conquered beauty pageants, worked on government policies and is now ready to take on the villa!'
Sharon is one of the many rumoured contestants to emerge in recent weeks.
Over the weekend, a source spoke to The Sun about what we can expect see from Sharon in the villa this summer.

They said, 'Sharon is intensely political and a big campaigner around equality and women’s rights.'
'She’s always talked of wanting to work in politics so is likely to use her platform on the show to talk about issues which she feels passionately about.'
'She is going to take everyone by surprise.'

In 2018, she was crowned Miss International UK.
The Islander also has a law degree from the University of London, and according to The Sun, she speaks Indonesian and French.
Sharon is also the ambassador for Young Women's Trust - 'A feminist organisation working to achieve economic justice for young women.'

Aaron
Meanwhile, Aaron is a luxury events host.

He's also one of the many rumoured contestants to emerge in the last few weeks.
A source told MailOnline, 'Aaron has no real claim to fame, he's just a normal guy.'
'However, his job does mean he sometimes moves in glamorous circles and he gets lots of attention.'

Liberty
Liberty is a 21-year-old waitress, 'after a summer of love after lockdown.'
'But will she break her habit of going for the players?'

According to OK! Magazine, the Islander admitted she's often had people hit on her while she works at Nando's.
'I've had a napkin shaped as a rose given to me which was cute, that was when I first started working there and then I've been proposed to.'
'It was a bit unexpected!'

But what's Liberty's type?
Well, she said she's looking for a, 'tall, alpha male,' who's confident and a bit of a, 'cheeky chappy sort of guy.'
'But obviously that's always usually combined with player types, which is where I go wrong.'

Hugo
Hugo is a PE teacher who's, 'ready to learn a few lessons in love'
The new Islander has been finding it hard to date amid the coronavirus pandemic.
According to the Mirror, he said, 'I’ve been single for a while now.'

'With the current climate, it’s been really hard to get back into dating.'
'I saw it as an opportunity to have an amazing fun summer and put myself back out there.'
Hugo is also the first Islander with a disability - he was born with club foot.

As quoted by the Mirror, he said, 'I’ve actually played cricket for England PD (Physical Disability).'
'I was born with clubfoot. I had lots of operations when I was a kid.'
'You can only really tell when I walk barefoot. I’ve got a really short Achilles heel. I walk slightly on my tip toes.'

Shannon is described as a, 'Sexy Scottish lass [who] needs someone who can match her blinding banter.'
The 22-year-old is a former glamour model, according to The Sun.
