Irish rap trio Kneecap were surprisingly snubbed for the 2025 Oscars, despite being shortlisted in two categories.
The lads were shortlisted for 'Best International Film' & 'Best Original Song' but unfortunately didn't receive any nominations.
Shortly after the nominees were announced, the Belfast natives posted a brief statement on Instagram that read: “Fu*k the Oscars. Free Palestine”

Elsewhere, Irish film production company Tailored Films is celebrating two Academy Award nominations for The Apprentice in the categories of Leading Actor (Sebastian Stan) and Supporting Actor (Jeremy Strong).
Emilia Perez leads with 13 noms, while ‘Wicked’ and ‘The Brutalist’ both received 10 nominations each.
The 2025 Oscars will take place on Sunday, the 2nd of March, 2025 at the Dolby Theatre and will be hosted by Conan O’Brian.
