Jimmy Kimmel to host 2023 Oscars
The Academy have chosen Jimmy Kimmel as their host for next year's Oscars.
He announced the news in the opening monologue of his late night chat show this week.
"Being invited to host the Oscars for a third time is either a great honor or a trap," he joked.
"Either way, I am grateful to the Academy for asking me so quickly after everyone good said no."
In a statement, showrunners Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner said they're, "thrilled," to have him onboard.

"We’re super thrilled to have Jimmy score his hat trick on this global stage," they said, as quoted by Metro.
"We know he will be funny and ready for anything."
This marks Jimmy's third time hosting the ceremony after he also did the honour in 2017 and 2018.
The 2023 Oscars takes place March 12th 2023, with nominees set to be announced January 24th.
