The actress will star alongside Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman
Jennifer Garner is making a return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She's set to reprise her role as Elektra in Ryan Reynold's Deadpool 3.
Garner played the role of the comic book character in 2003's Daredevil, alongside ex-husband Ben Affleck, and again in the 2005 spinoff, Elektra.
Shooting of the film, directed by Shawn Levy, is currently underway under Disney's Marvel studios and many people are wondering if there will be any major changes to the character that Garner hasn't played in 18 years. One thing, in particular, is her costume. Garner has previously said she was never comfortable while wearing the character's signature red corset during filming.
The actress isn't the only A-lister set to appear alongside Reynolds, with Hugh Jackman returning as his character Wolverine. He's said to have been preparing for the physical demands of his character.
Jennifer and Ryan are no strangers to filming together, following their movie The Adam Project, which came out last year.
Neither of Garner's previous appearances as Elektra were box office hits. Let's hope this time is different.
Deadpool 3 will be released in cinemas next year.
